William C. Gentry, founder of The Gentry Law Firm in Marietta, GA, has been practicing law in Georgia since 1986. His primary focus is divorce and family law cases, including high asset property division, child custody, and alimony. Bill has tried hundreds of cases in state and federal courts throughout Georgia and dozens of appeals in both state and federal appellate courts in Georgia.
He is admitted to and has argued in the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta. Bill received his B.A from the University of Virginia (1981) and received his J.D. from the University of Georgia (1986). Bill is a Past President of the Cobb County Bar Association.
He served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of GA since 2012 and is now the Treasurer, State Bar of Georgia (2024-present). He is now the author of the new book “I Want Out – A Woman’s Guide to Finding Peace Through Divorce” that answers many questions about divorce and we are going to explore this with Bill.
